Stellenbosh, South Africa’s most famous wine producing region, is home to granite and sandstone soil perfect for the region’s subtle red wine grapes. The center of wine tourism, Stellenbosch is known for producing distinct wines with its own regional features.
The birthplace of Pinotage (a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut), Stellenbosch is also known for its high quality whites: Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, and Chenin Blanc.
